Electron Microscopy Sciences EMS MyBlock™ Dry Bath II Dual Position with 2 universal blocks, 115 V
The EMS MyBlock series has several major advantages over traditional dry baths. They are the first digital dry baths to include advanced microprocessor controls, timed or continuous operation and a removable hinged lid. In addition, an optional external temperature feedback probe can be positioned directly inside a sample tube, providing real-time control and monitoring of temperature.
MyBlock's transparent lid promotes better temperature uniformity and minimizes stratification in the block by maintaining a warm air jacket layer while reducing energy consumption by minimizing heat loss. The hinged lid can be flipped open or easily removed (lifted off) to accommodate taller tubes.
Universal blocks accept tubes from 0.5 to 2.0 ml and, with just a quick flip to the other side, accomodate 0.2 ml tubes, PCR strips or in the dual block model only a PCR plate. Other blocks are available for tubes up to 50 ml. With 2 Quick-Flip universal block.

Interchangeable aluminum heating blocks provide excellent thermal conductivity and accommodate various test tubes, cups, and plates. Depending on the combination of blocks selected, plastic spacers (36620-67) can be used to fill a half-width recess, ensuring optimal thermal performance. Most blocks come with a separate hole to accept a thermometer. Order a flexi-block to accommodate multiple size tubes, vials, or cuvettes at once. Unskirted PCR plates can be heated in either size flexi-block. Skirted microtiter plates, deep-well plates, and PCR plates can only be incubated in the triple-width version.

All models have independent indicator lights to show main power, heater action, and over-temperature cut out. The "number of blocks accepted" on the ordering table indicate the number of single-width blocks accepted by each block heater. A heater that accepts two single-width blocks will accept one double-width block. Use three- and four-block models for high-throughput applications such as chemical oxygen demand (COD).
